Nowadays, Industrial Safety is an essential factor in companies, as it not only protects workers, assets and equipment, but also contributes to the smooth operation of the organization and the reduction of costs associated with workplace accidents and weak points during inspections. Additionally, it enhances the company’s reputation and improves the working environment.

This intensive course compiles, in a single day, the essential knowledge of Industrial Safety in all areas, from road/pedestrian safety to machinery, elevators, or energy and ATEX facilities.

Industrial Safety Professional® serves as a guide for all types of workers to understand the applicable legislation in Industrial Safety, identify the needs of their installations, and establish strategies in the field of Industrial Safety.

The Industrial Safety Professional® qualification is a qualification certified by TÜV Rheinland, a leading entity in technical services worldwide.

Programme

The training for the Industrial Safety Professional® qualification is delivered by Industrial Technicians and Senior Technicians in Occupational Risk Prevention, who combine extensive practical knowledge of regulations with broad expertise in industrial safety.

Two modalities are available: In-Person and Virtual Class Online.

Both modalities combine the delivery of digital content with interaction with students, who are provided with a follow-up manual and the necessary technical reference documents.

The training programme is divided into five thematic blocks, followed by a test to obtain the Industrial Safety Professional® with TÜV Rheinland Certified Qualification.

Contents

1. Safety in machines and retrofit of work equipment.

1.1. Requirements and obligations of manufacturers and machine integrators for industrials settings.- New Regulation (UE) 2023/1230 on machinery.
1.2. Requirements and obligations of users with machines and equipment in their industrial facilities.
1.3. Responsibilities associated with the acquisition and/or modification of machines in industrial facilities.

2. Lifting safety for people and/or materials in the industry.

2.1. Requirements and obligations associated with lifting devices in the industry.
2.2. Necessary checks for inspecting lifting devices.

3. Safety and concepts in facilities with explosive atmospheres (ATEX).

3.1. Requirements and obligations of manufacturers and integrators of installations with explosive atmospheres (ATEX) for an industrial environment - Directive 2014/34/UE.
3.2. Requirements and obligations of users of installations with explosive atmospheres (ATEX) in their industrial facilities.

4. Safety in different energy sources in the industry.

4.1. Electrical safety in industrial facilities.
4.2. Safety in equipment with pressurized fluids in industrial facilities.

5. Road and pedestrian safety in industrial facilities.

5.1. Organization and needs associated with spaces in industrial facilities.
5.2. Distribution of pedestrian and vehicle zones in the industry.
5.3. Protective elements associated with road and pedestrian safety.

Final evaluation

Each participant must pass a choice exam at the end of the training day.

Participants will have up to 60 minutes to complete the exam, which will consist of 40 multiple choice questions.

The exam will be considered passed when the candidate has achieved a minimum of 26 (65%) of the maximum number of correct answers.

The results will be communicated by email to each participant, three weeks after the exam.

Participants who do not pass the test will be able to try again in the next training session at a reduced cost.

Virtual Class Online Modality

Both the Contents and the final Evaluation are the same for both modalities: In-person and Virtual Class Online.

However, there are some requirements that students must take into account in order to follow the online training effectively and fluidly:

  • – Computer or Laptop with camera and microphone.
  • – System: Windows 10 or higher / macOS.
  • – Browser: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
  • – Good Internet connection.
  • – To monitor the class: Microsoft Teams application (Optional but recommended).
  • – To take the TÜV Rheinland exam: access to Zoom, even if it is web.

 

During the exam:

  • – They will only be able to use one screen.
  • – They must have their identity document on hand. The TÜV Rheinland Examiner will ask them to show it.
  • – During the development of the entire exam, they must share their screen.
  • – The place or site where the exam will take place must be free of distraction, without access to drawers, notes or resource material, the student must be alone and clearly visible.

Certification

This training equips participants with the knowledge necessary to obtain the Industrial Safety Professional®. qualification certified by TÜV Rheinland®.

TÜV Rheinland® provides information on all tested and certified services, products, and companies in Certipedia, its online certificate database.

Participants who pass the exam will receive a TÜV Rheinland® certification valid for three years.

To maintain the certificate after three years, participants must demonstrate continued work in related tasks, attend a half-day update, or complete higher training.

Registration

The price for this training is €850, plus applicable taxes in the country where it is delivered.

Payment of this fee entitles the participant to: course participation, documentation, exam fee, and, upon passing the final evaluation, the TÜV certificate and registration in Certipedia. The fee also includes lunch and refreshments during breaks in the in-person mode.
